She has recently received a tentative offer about 2 weeks ago and has submitted her physical, passport, E-quip, and all other paperwork. She is now waiting for the official offer and orders (I assume, I don't remember what comes next). However, she has a daughter from a previous marriage and her ex signed the passport paperwork, her divorce states that she is able to move their child to any geographical location, and that if they live more than 100 miles away she will visit her dad during Christmas and summer break (no specific length of time). Her concern is what extra steps might she need to take to ensure her daughter is able to move with her or is the divorce decree satisfactory? If she needs to do any extra steps, what does the process look like (she's in Texas)? And if she is not able to move to her new school for another few weeks, will that impact her job offer (she is moving to Korea)? Thank you guys for all your help!
someday There is a rather lengthy post about this if you look back. It was within the last 3 weeks.

em1427 Also, the divorce states that if they live more than 100 miles away, visitation will continue as stated, "unless otherwise specified". Could a letter be created and signed by both parents to clarify the other type of visitation agreement? Sorry for all the questions!

micorazonkilleen Have her send divorce decree and find.all order to HR to see if they can check with DLA in advance to see if it will be an issue!!! Be proactive. Tell her to tell them she's hear about others having to go to court to have visitation rights modified and want take care of issues in advance if necessary!!
