So, do they finalize salary before the security clearance? I was offered a position last week (On Thursday) and sent back my employment verification form with my Federal Employee form (with questions regarding criminal background...etc). The salary piece seems to be totally separate from the security clearance. Once they get the employment verification forms it can be a matter of days (or sooner) before you get a revised tentative offer with the new salary.. The background does not generally start until you submit the information through the EQIP site.
