I'm teaching for my first year in Europe and I'm loving it, but I know I'll eventually want to move. I've heard people talking about transfers, but I've noticed my EAS application appears locked and I can't edit my preferred countries. Also, I don't know how it works since most European locations are two year assignments. I realize Europe usually is lowly ranked in the transfer rounds, but I figure I might as well give it a shot.

How do transfers work and how to I edit my application to possibly be able to transfer?
haha There is a separate application for the transfer program. Generally speaking, now that you are in you won't be doing much with your EAS.

The union petitions for the transfer round every year and so it might look a bit different from year to year. All of the information from this year is located here:

It all depends on your certification, where you want to go. where people are wanting to get out of and more than a bit of a luck. As long as you are happy where you are then the transfer round is a nice possibility of change every year. And who knows? They ma...See More
