I submitted my eqip last night and will mail my fingerprints tomorrow. I asked my HR security rep about how long it will take to get through the background investigation. She said that it will take 5-6 months and even up to a year. Is that just the standard response they are required to give? I can't imagine the school holding a position for me if it takes a year! I have nothing on my record and excellent credit, and it seems like most people on this forum are cleared within 4 months (at the most) of getting their tentative offers.

italiangirl896 That's crazy, especially I got mine yesterday, and when I asked them how long the answer was would be pretty quick, possibly one day to one week to clear security once they get all my stuff. So insane that things differ so much.

italiangirl896 JROTC17- That's encouraging to hear! How were you notified? And does that mean now you'll get your final offer and start date and stuff?
