My husband and I are working on putting in an application as a teaching couple, but I can't quit get a grip on the process. I tried calling the help line in VA, but the lady who answered said she didn't have time for my questions. I am waiting on a final transcript before finalizing my application, so I haven't gotten very far into it. Can anyone fill me in on the basic process, what I should expect from here? Or maybe refer me to a better point of contact?

All help is appreciated,

Thanks!

Icanread It's interesting that everybody's experience is so different. Instead of being a streamlined process, it seems it all depends on your HR rep.

Jello76 Whenhow do you find out who your HR rep is?

haha Sometimes they include their name or initials on your Quals page after they have evaluated what areas you are considered qualified in by DoDEA.

Otherwise you would need to write and/or call and ask them specifically.

Icanread Sorry. I was referring to the HR rep once you have an offer (which is generally a different department than the HR rep who reviews your application). I'm pretty sure I called HR to ask some questions about my application, and that's when I found out who my HR contact was for my application.
