Can people in different locations shed some light on how much your car insurance is particularly in Japan, Germany and Italy but other locations also would be great. I have read that in Italy it is really high. It is one of those expenses you get so used to paying a certain amount. I want to make sure I am budgeting correctly.
haha Japan is fairly low compared to many places in the states. I want to say under $300 for the year for an older "sedan".

intrepidtravelr I just arrived in Italy and moved a car that we bought "new" this summer. (Had we known we would be moving we never would have bought but that's another story.) It's a 2013 and we needed full coverage because we have a loan on it so in Italy our insurance works out to be about $2000 per year.

someday So those costs don't seem bad. Thank you for the info. I was reading on different sites that people were paying 400 a month in Italy. Which seemed really high to me.

Couple of Questions We're in Naples, Italy and pay approximately $600 for 6 months on each vehicle. Both vehicles are owned (not making any payments).
