One last question. I am certified in my state of Texas to teach EC-6 and EC-12 Sp.ED. I am currently a Sp. ED teacher, so I was curious how desirable those two certifications are?

I did call HR yesterday and talked to a really nice woman and she stated she was emailing my case manager ( as applications are placed by alphabetical order) to let her know that my quals need to be evaluated. Your app would be in the system for what you are qualified. It would most likely say unqualified by the things you aren't. Then if/when you get new transcripts with additional coursework. You click reevaluate.

If you have an ED (if ED stands for Emotional Dist.) state certification then that would mean you would only need 6 credit hours in ED related classes to be considered ED certified by DoDEA (it generally takes 12 credit hours).
