I am about to start the process of applying for student teaching with DoDEA. My main concern is housing: the application forms ask to specify an address where you will be living. It seems odd that you need to have your housing situation figured out before you have applied or even been accepted.

Does anyone have experience with student teaching with DoDEA that could shine a light on the housing situation?

Thank you

haha It is kind of a chicken and an egg thing. I think the idea behind it is that they want to know that you have/will be able to arrange a viable living situation BEFORE they approve you to student teach. That's when having/making some connections at school/on base definitely can come in handy.

HelpOthers If you are applying in one specific area, you might ask around about whether you can stay with someone. Stateside, you would open a P.O. box at a mail boxes etc. or something that does not actually say P.O. box.
