I am trying to gather information prior to applying for a School Psych position overseas. However, information available is very limited. How often do you as teachers see psych positions come open? I just want to make sure I have the right thought process prior to applying. Thank you.

HelpOthers haha, I have seen schools with more than one counselor that have an additional individual in both a school counselor and school psychologist role. It is much easier to balance than being a school psychologist and a classroom teacher of any kind. HelpOthers @ psych, you make a very good point. The ratio of 1 school psychologist per 1000 students is per district. If a district has 10,000 students, they are permitted to hire 10 school psychologists. If they have 9500 students, they can hire for 9 full-time positions and 1 half-time position.
