I know most teachers gladly accept any DODEA job offered us. But if you had a choice, would you choose to work at Yokosuka or Yokota? I'm curious about the similarities and differences.
haha They would be 1a and 1b in my opinion. You really couldn't go wrong either way.

Yokosuka is a bigger base (e.g. bigger schools, more extensive medical facilities) with Yokota being obviously smaller. For some people bigger is better while some might prefer a smaller community. If you have children, you might like the idea of bigger schools...See More

Teach Are you interviewing for elementary or secondary? The two elementary schools in Yokosuka are VERY different. One has over 1200 students, the other under 400. I teach at the small one and although I do really like my school, I can see benefits to working in a larger school. HelpOthers Also consider the differences between Air Force and Navy. In Yokosuka, when the "ship goes out," the majority of the active duty members are all away at the same time.
