Hello!

I will be applying for a teaching position and/or an instructional specialists position in the fall and I am curious how the application process works, specifically, how location orders are determined.

1) Do I get a preference regarding location or does the DOD determine a location on their own?

2) Am I told the location before I sign the offer letter (if a position is offered)?

3) Does the DODEA wait for the position application deadline to close before reviewing applications?

4) How competitive are these positions? I have a Master's degree and almost ten years of teaching experience.

Thank you in advance for any information you have!

You can select target locations and list the countries/regions you would be willing to move to. You may get offers to interview for locations you did not select. The more regions you are open to, the better your chances of being hired.

You interview for/receive offers for specific openings at specific schools/locations.
