I'm sure that someone is, just not someone who posts here regularly. Europe and Asia usually start recruiting at roughly the same time so there is no reason to think that the UK is waiting for anything. As always, DoDEA (UK or any other locations) should be a Plan B for anyone since the odds are stacked against you.

I'm not sure why, but I have gotten the impression that landing a position in the UK is extra tough. ??

T. Rob, it is my understanding that it is difficult to get a job in the U.K. because there are fewer schools and not many transfer out of the U.K. once they secure a job there. I don't think it is more difficult for any other reason than those.

I figure its extra tough just for the language as it would be easier to move there for language purposes. That is not my reason but could see that is the case. But, they still will need teachers so keeping my fingers crossed!
