For those playing along at home, we just got word of our yearly raise. The new Salary Scale is not posted yet (except on the union site) but classroom teachers got a 2% (approximate) increase to each step. At my step/band that is around $1500. Since we do not generally get the increase until late in the year, the union has won the right of retro pay from the beginning of the year, which we usually get in May and which is paid in a lump sum.

someday Oh, that's great to hear. They didn't count one of my years because I didn't have enough days so that about puts me back where I had initially thought I would be.
