I would definately make sure that class will count as chemistry before you take it. Have you tried to call HR and ask. I called about a course I needed to the general number and explained that I wanted to ask if it would meet my needs and the lady who answered gave me a direct number to the analyst. In DoDEA upper level is either undergraduate junior OR senior level OR graduate level college course work.

I think you are making a good choice. The chemistry notebook class just doesn't seem like chemistry so i would be worried they may not count it and you would be wasting your time with it.
