I'm going to add another AP cert this summer. Where is the most need for AP teachers? English, Lit, US History, World History, or US Gov? Thanks :)

haha It's possible. It's not really my area of expertise (teaching SPED I am generally at the other end of the spectrum). In the several schools I am personally familiar with there has been more turnover in the SS dept. but it seemed like all of the current and new teachers in both areas were able to offer AP. Ida At my school it is actually the opposite. I would AP Lang and Lit would be good. But also Human Geography is pretty uncommon. I am taking AP Psych over the summer because no one else has that, but there are 3 with APUSH. So maybe it just really depends. Any would probably be helpful!

Scholar I don't know what is needed. If we don't have someone certified in it, our students can take it online. So I say take what interests you the most AP training is like mini college to me- you are around people who are passionate about the same topic you are and it's energizing.

HelpOthers There a new AP social studies class being offered I think, so getting certified in that course (or courses) may help. Government (1 semester) and another class I cannot recall the name of.

DodeaHopeful My opinion is that when ELWOP came out it asked for Social Studies with concentrations in Government and US History So I would get AP GOV and APUSH
