I know I've asked a bunch of questions, but here's another. When is it time to give up hope in being hired for next school year and come to terms with waiting for another year?

IsItFriday? Some positions get filled late in August and September but by October the phones get really, really quiet. Give up hope in November and by December head office often begins to hold onto any new vacancies and squirrels them away for the following school year.

Just Me Haha Wilma! I don't proofread before I submit, so I'm in the same boat. I am Definitely willing to move in the middle of the year. I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to follow my dreams!

haha As posted, if you are willing to take an offer once school starts then you never actually have to give up, just realize that the odds slowly get longer as the summer progresses and school starts. Hires do happen throughout the year, just in smaller numbers (but you only need one!).
