For someone moving out of state, are vehicle registrations/driver's licenses handled the same as they are for military members? Do I need to transfer my vehicle registration and driver's license to my new state?
IsItFriday? The rules for military members under orders are not the same as for civilians.

When civilians take up residence in a new state, then they normally have to transfer their registration and driver's license. The laws are different in each state. Read the gov website of the state to which you intend to move for more information.

HelpOthers When you receive a job offer stateside, you do not get orders. You are civilian, move yourself there and pay for your own housing in your new location. You do need to register your car and obtain a drivers license in your new state.
