For those of you wondering I received an interview request without a referral in mid May. I interviewed on May 30th, and I was tentively offered a middle school English/ secondary drama position on Wednesday, June 27, through email. I'm on vacation in the Dominican Republic right now with no service, so I don't know if anyone tried to call. You have three business days from the time you're offered the tentative position to accept and to return certain paperwork and 10 days for other paperwork. I'll return all mine on Monday. I've had my application in for 4 years. I'll be starting my 7th year of teaching, and I have 2 Master's. I've received a few referral list notifications and have only interviewed once. I'll be going to Camp Humphrey's in South Korea, and the tour of duty there is 1 year.

I hope this helps some of you!

Cdub I spoke to a current teacher at Humphreys, who confirmed that TWO people were supposed to be hired. So it would seem that we are indeed to be colleagues :)

Cdub I agree that 2 in the new program will be an advantage! I am also really glad to see that we have block scheduling with 90 minute lessons - that will be great for drama. My teaching background is mostly 8 years of secondary English, but that is because the schools only offered drama as an extracurricular. Outside of the classroom I have been a dire...See More
