Hello. I'm a current DDESS teacher seeking a DODDS position. I've opened my EAS, and I've been receiving several automated emails saying that I'm referred to different DODDS positions. However, I've only received one email asking for an interview. I'm wondering if that I am a current employee is a negative factor. I'd really like to join DODDS for SY18-19, and I'm wondering when schools actively interview candidates (or is it too late?).
southernteach It is not too late. This is the busiest time for interviews and some even continue into the fall. I would say most of them occur May-August/September or so. But they hire year round depending. What position are you interviewing for and where? Good luck!

HelpOthers Talk to your current principal and make sure they have given you a good recommendation. Maybe try to find a way to upload your most recent evaluations, especially if they are exceptional. Hundreds of people CAN make it onto a referral list, but only the top three candidates (as they appear on paper) tend to be interviewed.

haha Agree it's definitely not too late (and still early compared to past years). Being in the system also should not be a negative and may be a bit of a positive.
