For pay purposes, when do you get the pay raise for a change in ed levels? For example if I get additional credits to be masters plus 30 rather 15, when do you get that pay increase? Is it at the start of the next school year? Or when you submit your updated transcripts?

STRESSED For MA+30, you need to complete the ASL form that lists all 30 credits together with the transcripts.

haha Our experience is that HR is actually pretty quick/good at putting the salary increase into effect once they get the worksheet and transcripts (and even about getting you prorated amounts if eligible).

@ SLP-T, I'm pretty sure that once you have your Masters, only graduate level credits will move you up a salary lane.

HelpOthers It is prorated to the date you earned the credits as long as your submit them within a specific time frame. Contact your school secretary. They view the official transcripts and stamp and sign/initial in blue ink that they were official copies, then they scan them and you include the scanned documents with the ASL form.

joseybear So it doesn't have to happen at the time of hire? Or the start of the school year? ASL? Is that an internal form?

Ida Correct to both. The form is internal and you can do it whenever you finish the credit. If you know at time of hire send in the transcripts but if you are like once class short, you can do it as soon as you take it.
