1. What do Dodds inservice days typically look like? Is the time spent usefully during these days?



2. Are there assigned duties for teachers? At my current high school, each teacher must devote 45 minutes of their plan time to a duty Hall duty, supervising lunch, supervising a study hall, helping out in the office.

Do these things vary by school? I would of asked these questions during my interview, but I felt I had asked enough questions and didn't want to go overkill. Any insight would be appreciated!

LolaTeach While I was overseas, we had a rotation schedule for recess duty and we didn't receive any additional pay. I device days consisted of preparing report cards and doing anything else we, as teachers, found necessary. In the US (DDESS) it's extremely different. haha Yes, in-service generally equals training with all of your time accounted for and teacher workdays equal time in your class to do whatever needs doing.
