If we don't have enough furniture of our own to furnish our living quarters, can we keep the loaner furniture for the duration of our tour, or is it a time-limited loan? I'm headed to Camp Humphries. TIA!

HelpOthers If you are in this for the long haul, I suggest looking into the cost of moving what you want to FL for them to move vs. moving the items yourself directly from WA. Ida Do you know an accountant? Would be possible to ask someone to actually run the exact numbers for you to perhaps ease your mind of make it more concrete so you can make a plan for the cost? They also might know some ways to offset the cost during the remainder of the year.

HelpOthers And to answer your question directly. No, you would not want that loaner furniture any longer than you really needed. I am sure you could buy something to meet your needs, especially if others are PCSing out when you arrive.

WA_Counselor My mom is actually a tax accountant for H&R Block, so I'll ask her. Although all she's been doing since the new tax plan went into effect is to walk around sighing and shaking her head! :-(

WA_Counselor I will probably just take the furniture I have with me in FL, and get additional furniture as needed when I get into my new place. I see there's an IKEA in S. Korea!
