My application on EAS changed from "internal permanent dodds applicant" to now saying "external applicant." Anyone have any foreknowledge on this? I am a current DODEA employee but trying to go overseas as have recently interviewed. I have not received any emails with tentative offers or emails from EAS saying my account in inactive. Just strange that the status changed....?
HelpOthers It should say Internal Permanent DoDEA Applicant (not DoDDS). I suggest contacting HR to find out why this was changed. If they had it as DoDDS, that would have made it impossible for you to be hired for any of the overseas positions, so it is good this was removed. HelpOthers You know the system (jargon, training, standards), work with similar populations, and the hiring individuals can easily contact your current supervisors. However, some principals prefer to hire from outside DoDEA, so it is not guaranteed to be helpful.
