Mrs.C I just want to say that I am a local hire (military spouse) and also feel completely lost. DoDeaNewbie @Mrs.C .. if you are local, you might want to just show up and talk to someone in the office. You need a CAC card to do anything online. I'm also a local hire. I just went to the school and got my CAC card paperwork. My CAC card allowed me to get set up with email and then the secretaries added me to everything else like grade book snd Attendance. ...See More

haha I would agree. Just start dropping by and asking questions. Ask to get your CAC, email, etc. and anything else that can be done now. When we transferred locations we arrived at our new location in early July. It took some bugging people and asking around but we had our CAC, ID's driver's license, car, etc. taken care of way before school started an...See More

HelpOthers Most secretaries are local hires (high rate of turnowver) or are local host nation individuals for whom English is not their first language.
