Hi all. I am single, and I am wondering how single people are treated in terms of lodging in Europe: specifically, is a single person allowed to rent a house with the cost covered by DODEA, or do they force you into an apartment? Or do you rent whatever you want and you make do with whatever allowance a single person gets for rent? I ask about Europe because it would appear that this is where I might be a fit for some jobs qualifications-wise.

thanks in advance for any replies,

T.

Ida I know people who have purchased homes in Europe on a single persons income. Like houses with yards not just condos.

I have worried about this question before, but things have been moving a bit in the right direct...See More

Couple of Questions LQA should be sufficient even as a single person. You can rent a house, apartment, condo, etc. Whatever you can afford (I'd assume you want to find a place your LQA would cover). You can look up what your LQA rate would be here: https://webapps.dodea.edu/lqarates/ratesrpt.cfm

tony75 Thanks for the rate tables: this makes things a lot clearer. T.
