@Haha my husband is active duty. When I interviewed I was stateside. We have now PCSED to the location that I have been hired for but I am on his orders. I applied as a worldwide hire. The school is in my commuting area. I couldn't reply because I haven't set up an account.
IsItFriday? It doesn't matter where you were when you interviewed. It doesn't change the nature of your stay. A vacation is a vacation.

You are on orders in the local area. Your name is on your souse's orders. You are not eligible for all the PCS benefits as you already have them through your husband's orders.

You are a local hire.

IsItFriday? Sorry! It'ss always somewaht disappointing to get paid $60,000 when someone else is getting $100,000 (after PCS benefits), but that's the system.

Look to the future. Is your spouse close to retirement? You could pick up the PCS benefits in the future. Lots of local hires do.

haha If you are in the commuting area on his orders and have been offered a position in that area, then yes, generally you would be considered a local hire. Although generally, you would have switched your EAS over to local hire for THAT location which would have given you priority for that location over CONUS hires (in theory).
