Hello, I am curious if it is odd that I received a lot more feedback from my application the first year I applied. In the first year I was placed on 3 referral lists and even received an offer to interview which I had to turn down.

In the following two or three years I have updated my account but, nothing. In that time I have taught additional courses including multiple AP courses, added an area of endorsement, completed my masters, and been awarded an international fellowship.

Do applications get more attention when they are newer?

Also, now that I am 2-3 years older, I am thinking I would leave possibly leave the DOD after a few years if I got in. I am curious if someone in the system has an idea of a minimum number of years you would say it is worth it to go through the process of joining.

Thank you for any feedback!

BC14 Thank you both for all of that great information! I did add new transcripts yesterday so everything looks in order for 2019-2020, but it looks like they may not have been updated for last year.

I am also confused by the request for a PDF of 'official' transcripts. I have transcripts from 4 universities and none of them will give you a dig...See More

If you are ever offered a position they will want (very quickly) unopened official transcripts to be mailed to them as part of your processing package. In the past you could not have official/digital transcripts...See More

BC14 Thanks haha, I have really appreciated all your advice, a few years ago and again now, and I am sure I speak for many who feel the same way. This is my last shot before buying a house and settling in here. Probably not the best year for something to come up, but I will wait and see.

In your years on this forum have you seen people talk ab...See More

haha No problem. International Schools Review has a free forum (and a paid forum and school reviews sent in by teachers). TES UK has a free, useful and fairly active forum for Teaching Overseas. I also read and post on both.

haha PS. Buying a house is not necessarily a deal breaker. We have twice sold houses to move overseas (and were lucky enough to get a good deal both times).
