Could someone tell me how many class periods you are expected to teach in DODEA and how many free blocks you have for planning in a day?

I think teaching 5 of 7 classes is common. Now how plan periods you have a day depends on block or regular schedule. I know there is a minimum plan per week number but I can remember exactly what it is.

In the secondary schools, most are now on block schedule. In block schedule schools you would get 1 period (out of 4) for planning every day and see a given class every other day. In 7 period schools you would generally have two prep periods a day and see every class every day,

I teach at a middle school on block schedule. I teach five different classes total- 3 7th ELA and 2 8th ELA. My schedule for A days is A1 and A2 7th, A3 prep, and A4 8th.
