Hello all, I am so happy to have found this chatboard! I was wondering if I could get some input.

I am an SLP, looking to work for DoDEA. I'm open to anything. I'm completing my clinical fellowship year in a school district now. I've been told SLP is a good position to apply for DoD, but just wondering if you know what the likelihood is? I am a veteran as well, and a product of DoD schools as my dad was active duty my entire life. Is there a best way to highlight that on my application? I'm currently pending on my application, hoping to move to qualified soon!
Icanread I'm pretty sure that SLPs are quite often needed. I know we have an opening at my elem school. Do you apply on EAS or does that happen through USAjobs? I know I have also seen SLP position on USAjobs but not sure if there are for different depts of the military.

lovetotalkslp @Icanread thanks for responding! Where are you located? I applied on EAS. I haven't seen anything except for VA positions on USAjobs. I just didn't know if the excess was affecting every position within the school system, or teachers specifically.

haha Hi. I am not an SLP but I am a SPED teacher (in Japan) so obviously work closely with our SLP's.
