I applied in Jan. I would be considered a local hire, my spouse is a federal employee. We just arrived on station.
If I'm understanding you correctly referances are checked up front, so no big deal about my referances being contacted? I figure with the excess placement I won't get picked up as a full time teacher so planning to sub.

When you submit your initial EAS application, you designate your professional referees and DoDEA sends out the online evaluation form. That would be routine.

awesome, great news indeed! Your position would likely be NTE as said above but a great way to get foot in the door. Many NTE candidates that get let go at the end of the year end up getting hired back at a later date when stafffing changes. Where are you located?
