From my understanding, DoDEA stateside teachers are in the same pool as all other candidates.

@haha.. You are so right. Any thing is possible with the government. I will most likely contact HR in a few weeks to inquire about the process. I am very curious as it is totally different from non-DoDEA districts. It would be nice to know where you stand, ya know? I am not an excessed employee, so either way, I am in a good position. :-). Yes, there is some hiring, but at this point there are still people who need to be placed; so, you may not see much in the way of referral lists yet.
