Does anyone know if taking a position in Guam or Puerto Rico, being US territories, keeps you from being hired later as a CONUS hire and receiving LQA in the foreign post?

Denise Hi, I was stateside went to Guam for 3 years and came to Germany 1 year ago. I was offered a position stateside recently. So going to Guam doesn't hinder either of those things. You don't get LQA in Guam as it is DDES considered stateside. If you have a chance to go do it!!!!!!!! iT IS A WONDERFUL PLACE

Teachin Thank you Denise! I have my application in, but who knows if they need many Business/Computer teachers? I have a great teaching job and have seniority in my department, but this seems like an interesting opportunity for my career and my family.

haha Those two areas are often .5 positions in many schools and are frequently combined. So, you never know.

Teachin Maybe something in Japan :) I was in Japan for 3 months when I was in high school and loved the culture and the food. I think it would be a great place to live!
