I am a single parent and overseas. My child is a little older so no care needed now. I was single when I was enlisted, also. Every military community i have encountered (even here overseas) has many moms willing to watch children. The military offers registration for the home-based care also. Thanks someday, that's good to know. How has your experience been as a single mom over seas? I would appreciate any tips you may have. I've taught overseas before but it was before I had children so I'm sure it's quite different with little ones.

Admins tend to work long hours, and often weekends. The system is turning very paperwork heavy and stressful. As a mom, I would wait until your kiddos were a little older.....

Thanks for sharing your insight RJ, I will definitely take this into consideration. I've been an admin for about 7 years now, so I'm used to the long hours and paperwork but being overseas alone with the girls without a support system will be undoubtedly more challenging.
