That is a highly coveted job! I would recommend it at any grade level. It's a job that can be what you make it, depending on the school and admin.

If I were working in a forward thinking school, I think I would really enjoy this job. It would be tough working in a school where change is not encouraged and people are overprotective of their classrooms, seeing the ET as an intruder.

I think it probably depends on the school. Our ET (overseas and elementary) does a great job teaching lessons (including robotics) and supporting teachers!

I really think the job highly varies from school to school. At my current school the ET is basically tech support. I don't think I have ever seen them leave their office.
I wonder how often these positions open up? I just got endorsed as an ET. Maybe if the transfer round comes back I could transfer into an ET spot?

I wouldn't mind doing some tech support, but I would really get bored if I couldn't teach students. TheSuperDude, what do you currently teach?
