Asking for a friend, so our IT guy is retiring. He's not an ET, I'm not sure what his position is, but he is the person you would call to setup your CAC, fix hardware, install software, etc. He does not support students or teacher with lessons, as an ET would. What would you call this position? How would one apply for it? Is it a 10 month or 12 month position?

Thanks in advance!

Icanread Yep... it's Actionet for AT jobs in Okinawa. The position that's open here is an "administrative technologist". Apparently the contracting company changes every few years, and it's different depending on the country/area.

RJ Do you happen to know the ballpark salary and if it's a 10 month position? The person interested does have a security clearance, so that's not a problem.

Icanread Unfortunately, I don't know any job specifics. Also, the job requires current security clearance, but to my knowledge you can't get that clearance without already having a DOD job.
