Coming from the public sector we are paid year round....is that an option with DODEA? I'm sure I will come up with more questions. I do have a Facebook account if anyone who is on the East coast and wants to connect! Under Jodina Tyson!

IsItFriday? The 26 pay periods start in July. New hires generally don't on-board until August or later.

It's explained briefly in the Tentitve Offer Letter.

HelpOthers Agreed. The first year is at 21 pay periods. Later years can be at 26 pay periods, but must be requested officially by the employee.

haha As far as I know, last year the first check of the 26 was on August 10. This year it will be on August 9.

IsItFriday? Yes, the first paycheck is generally received in August, and the actual date changes. But the pay period (which is 14 days in length) for which that paycheck is the compensation started in July!

It's the pay period here that is significant, not the date of the first paycheck.
