Why is it that DoDEA sometimes advertises jobs on USAjobs? It seems that there would be a pool of qualified candidates in EAS if admin wanted to pull a list, given the large number of applicants.

HelpOthers @**psych** what I said was that vacancies that have been hard to fill get posted in USA jobs. When applicants are called to interview in the Pacific they turn down the interview. Icanread So if there was a teaching position listed on USA jobs, would that mean there were no qualified applicants in EAS so they listed it to get qualified applicants?

haha Not necessarily. I have seen USA postings for positions that I know have qualified applicants in the EAS system. Sometimes they just want to generate some more action in certain categories for some reason.

Icanread That makes sense. There was a pre-k job just listed today in South Carolina (on Usajobs). I would think there would be plenty of qualified applicants in the system for it.
