There are people who have said that it can even take a few months to hear back. HR seems like it might be a mess right now! I've been trying to get through with no response by phone or email.

Some of us had applications active for several years before being hired. Keep living your current life in a happy way, continue to gain experience, and add certs that might make you more attractive to someone hiring.

I understand exactly how you feel. I can't seem to land the elusive offer at my location. I made a referral list this year , but never contacted for an interview. They hired a stateside applicant. We're for sure leaving now next year. Maybe I'll have better luck elsewhere or we'll back in the states where there are so many more opportunities.

It's not over yet. Hiring continues much later than you might think. People don't return as planned, some retire mid-year, and sometimes the enrollment is higher than anticipated and warrants another position. Just be flexible if you want a position in DoDEA. Most people had to leave their current schools mid-year.
