Sorry to repeat this: I'm on my phone and i can't figure out how to search the forum.

How many credits do you need to be certified in an area in the DOD?

I have an odd situation: i gained my Virginia certification through a career switcher path in VA community college. It was for ESL and it was around 30 credits of graduate classes...but they didn't give us any credits. For passing all the classes you earned your VA ESL license.

Could i call HR and ask if they would consider my career switcher transcript (which lists all the classes we took) as proof? I also taught for 2 years as an ESL teacher.
Snow Lane It doesn't hurt to try.

Here's information on the different requirements for positions. https://www.dodea.edu/Offices/HR/employment/categories/support.cfm

haha It's generally 24/30 credits. I believe it's 24 for ESL. Generally they will want actual credits on a college transcript but definitely try calling and see what they say.
