I am under contract with a local school district and I am still getting referrals for the schools in my community. Has anyone broken a contract to accept a position with DoDEA mid/beginning of the year? Do they insist on calling your current employer? The district could move to take my state teaching certificate if I break a contract but I really want these positions on base.

spedhopeful @Elemteach I just received an referral a week ago for a shool stateside, 10 to date but no interviews. No freeze account nor an email stating I was not selected. I also chalked it up to the possibilty that the hiring season for this school year is done!

sillyrabbit I keep receiving referrals too, which is a start but no interview. In my district teachers have to give a 60-day notice, anything less then you'll have to wait two years for rehire. I would never go back anyway. It's the worst school district I've ever worked with. You live and you learn.
