Any milspouses applied for dodea but not making any referral list even with milspouse preference and qualified for vacancies?

RJ Ask former employees what happened when they filed EEO complaints....also, not the best way to try and enter the organization.

kyjan @haha Ok, perhaps why no one cares to ask how they were honestly selected over others in a so-called pool of candidates? Overwhelmingly CONUS hires get picked over local hires, and by some coincidence provides the full Monty of benefits incl. LQA, COLA, etc?

haha I don't believe that to be case. Other people have different opinions/experiences. Financially, it makes no sense for DoDEA to pass up qualified local hires to go CONUS on a regular basis. It obviously happens but without access to the data we are just guessing, expressing our opinions.

Chris As a milspouse I have had a few referrals and a few interviews with zero luck. I am highly qualified and I also am frustrated. I was told that they would rather hire the less qualified CONUS applicant who will move and be at the location potentially indefinitely, then hire a more qualified local hire who will only be at the location for 3+ years.

Cmc I understand Chris and I'm right there with you. I'm not a teacher so there are even fewer vacancies that come up and limited jobs in my career field. It's frustrating to make referral lists and not even get an interview and find out that a stateside candidate was hired.
