I am new to DODEA and did not do much research, beyond knowing what I wanted to do but not the process. So I interviewed for a job. I acted under the assumption, better to get in and then request a move. The location is not bad and the pay is good, stateside, but it is not my goal.

My long term goal is to move overseas, I don't really care where, I just have not wanted to stay in the states since I got out of the military. I am in special education and got masters plus.

My question is how hard would it be to get an overseas position? Will I be stuck stateside a long time? I am leaving a hire paying job with good benefits and retirement, but its not about the money for me and more about finding the right place, something that has been lacking for me since getting out of the military.

Travelgoals Haha yeah very glitchy.

I have a phd in special ed. License in it. I also have license in teaching of history and a degree in philosphy, haha not sure why.

haha Well, you sound like you have a strong application, which is all you can really control.

Have you thought about international schools? They won't have the military aspect but would likely get you overseas faster.
