Out of curiosity, how do you renew your teaching certificate in the state issued if you haven't been teaching in that state?

Just Me @is it Friday, I've researched my state website and it says that renewal documents have to be submitted by the school board of the employing state school district. This is why I'm worried if hired I won't be able to renew my certification.

Liv_hopeful @DODEA or Bust, look to see if you can gather clock hours to renew your teaching certificate. As long as your PD classes are accredited and get accepted by your State, you should be good to go.

Exactly. Now you see my point. That question can only be answered at the specific office in that specific state.

I feel you pain. I am aware of states that are extremely unfriendly to their teachers that desert them.

If you're with a "bad" state, then now is the time to get a cert from a second state.

Cordelia I don't know the answer to your question, except that my state worked individually with me. I also know that West Virginia (not my state) offers teacher's certification for life. No renewal ever. So that might be worth checking out...
