Teaching Jobs on Teachers.Net

I read that if you have dual citizenship, you would not be permitted to work for DoDEA in the country in which you hold dual citizenship.

A job posting for substitute teachers in Italy stated the same statement about dual citizenship; however, the job posting for South Korea(same position) did not have any restriction/requirement about dual citizenship on USAJOBS.gov.

I was wondering if that rule only applies to certain countries?
IsItFriday? Maybe.

Different rules for different countries.

This is the sort of question where it is a poor practice to generalize.

The info in USA Jobs for a particular country may or may not be correct. The SOFA status of a dual citizen is a poorly understood legal gray area. USA Jobs is not the definitive reference source for that...See More

teachsci Thank you. I'm going to reach out to HR to get a definitive answer but wanted to get an insight from here while waiting and maybe find a teacher working with dual citizenship.
