Had a surprise interview with no prior referral notice. Was an ideal job and I was very excited as it was my first one in 3 years attempting. I wasn't totally prepared for a couple questions as "failures" aren't usually something I try to dwell on and remember, lol...but it was a good experience. I would love to have the position, but I think now it's just down to luck! I've been away from the forum for awhile as I had somewhat written off my chances, seems there have been many referrals and hiring this year compared to others. Best of luck to all who are navigating this experience-interviews, hired, or even still just waiting!

TGIF I'm flabbergasted to hear another person has been interviewed without notice! It may be helpful to take note of the administrator and location you interviewed for, so you can decide (when contacted again later) if that is honestly an administrator you would want to work for, given what took place as it is a reflection of their management philosophy...See More

Jennifer P I had an email request asking for time in the following day due to time zone. I got the email Thurs am and interviewed Fri evening. I was excited about the location. I think the interview was average, nothing made me seem like I was a front runner. I guess in the end, time will tell, so I'll let you all know if it end up yay or nay.

TGIF @Jennifer P, It's very good to hear you were given preparation time for your interview. The advance notice you were given prior to the call is actually the norm, especially mid-July, as it is the end of the hiring season and there is a mad dash to get teachers hired with enough time to pack out, PCS (move), travel, quarantine, and get settled prior...See More

Jennifer P Thanks Travel Bug! I actually wasn't thinking it was a problem or that I meant to seem complaining, more of a "this was my experience" for others out there. In my time on this board and in the process I have come to expect abnormality as a norm, so it wasn't an irritation or a problem for me.
