It's an interesting listing. I'm not quite sure who would have the experience they're looking for. I know that I could learn everything they want you to know, but I'm sure they want me to know it before they interview me. Most teachers and people who would be applying for this position wouldn't have the specific experience that they want.

I wasn't sure either, but applied still. I was referred to this same position 2 weeks ago for Sembach. They ended up canceling the position a week after the referral. I don't have experience with aspen but I have experience in IT, instructional coaching, and analyzing data to create curriculum & training. That was enough to get referred, which ...See More

Experience/in depth knowledge with a specific program that DoDEA is currently using would be a plus, but it's doubtful that not having it would be a deal breaker. DoDEA changes programs, platforms, software frequently, and/or frequently hires people who are expected to learn on the job.

I would suggest that it is a LOT of data entry information, providing new people access to different tasks within the systems used. Lots of queries, etc. It would definitely be better if you are already familiar with Aspen, the current system for now and the next tie period.
