Hello, I have a question about what health plans teachers use. My husband is type 1 diabetic and is in excellent health, but he uses a dexcom monitoring system to help manage his care. Does any one have experience with seeing an endocrinologist or using the pharmacy benefit for diabetic prescriptions? Is there a health plan where you have benefits stateside and at the overseas location? I am thinking he can see his dr. Virtually if he can have bloodwork taken locally. I also have a college student who I would like to continue to insure stateside. Thanks for any help!

IsItFriday? You're unlikely to get good information here.

US style medical insurance plans, like those in the FEHB, are written by lawyers, and designed to obscure information, to prevent them from being compared easily.

On top of that the available services are dependent on the exact location, which is difficult to plan for in advance. (Unle...See More
