I am setting up my shipment of goods. It says I am not authorized for professional books and equipment. Does that mean I cannot bring my teaching supplies???
Icanread This might be a good question for the Facebook group Dodea teachers interested. There are lots of people on there who are currently going through the hiring process or who were recently hired.

HelpOthers No. It means that everything being shipped must be included in your HHG or UB. Active Duty personnel are permitted an additional "Professional Books and Equipment" shipment that does not count against the weight of their household shipments. haha No, somewhat ironically, the professional books and equipment allowance is one of the few things that applies to active duty personnel but not teachers.
