AD is generally for the Americas, so I'm not really sure about it. I t think AD would be the scale, which could be different, depending on the position (as opposed to TP for overseas DoDEA).

It helps to look at the payscale for a couple years ago where the AD 17 for example is labeled with the degree or degree + 30 credit hours.

Hope you all are doing well. I have my first interview tomorrow after being referred all year and now I've finally accepted an interview but I am nervous.
Anyone have experience with the secondary campus on the Osan base in South Korea? Any general tips for DODEA interviews?

I remember that 10 days after my interview for a job in Germany, I called DoDEA to learn that the position was filled and I was so sad. Then at 14 days, I got the email! The position was filled...but by me! and the DoDEA staffer didn't tell me when I called and gave my name.

For my first job in Japan, I interviewed in July but I didn't get the FedEx packet that offered the job for a month. (Now it's all by email).

Agree. You are better off taking the time now to get someone to complete it (and complete it correctly). That way if there is a problem, you have the time/energy to to get it fixed without a million other things going on/needing your attention.

On base housing isn't an option, but there are good urbanizations/neighborhoods that are great options for families. The tax rate is higher. We pay PR tax and federal. Japan has been our favorite (any of the bases near Tokyo would be great). We also enjoyed Europe (most any of the locations would be just fine). We love Japan. I lived in Ankara, Turkey as a 9th-10th grader and LOVED it. However, the political culture has changed considerably and I think teachers are not permitted to bring dependent children now. My family lived in Madrid Spain when I was a toddler and LOVED it, but I have heard that the DoDEA location is rather isolated.
