We have matheletics once a year. However, we currently don't do much math on a regular basis, and would like to work on math with kids on a regular basis. Any curriculum to suggest?

What grade level? Singapore Primary Math is good for K-5th, and Art of Problem Solving is good for 7th-9th
I am a gifted specialist whose district is undergoing a revamp for gifted education. I am looking for input on how other gifted programs are run. I would appreciate your help in offering the following...
Your state School District The number of schools in your district The number of gifted teachers per district What grades are serviced? How are they serviced (push in or pull out?) How much time? How often do you see students? What other services are offered by the gifted specialist? Are primary grades serviced differently than intermediate? What subject areas do you offer enrichment from? Do you have a gifted curriculum? Are all gifted teachers doing the same thing throughout your district? Please, offer any suggestions that have allowed your program to be a success
Thank you so much. I would really appreciate as much feedback as you can offer.
I have misplaced my Directions for Administration booklet for the Kg level of the test - wonder if some one out there would send me a copy of the first five items in each section - can order new forms, but need the items from the directions for administration to administer test now! Deeply appreciate any and all assistance!
sorry, not meaning any one to be unethical - wasn't thinking of that. Just seeking help. Thanks for setting me straight on this one. I will contact the company and get what I need.
When I first started in Gifted Ed. someone told me about a reader's theater to introduce Bloom's Taxonomy. I believe it was called Johnny Meets the Blooms. Has anyone heard of this or does anyone have a copy or know where to get it?

Hi there! I'm looking for any good resources for teaching chess. Some of my older students learned it from the previous gifted teacher so I was looking for something to help them advance further or problems to present them, etc. Then I will also be teaching my 2nd through 4th graders the game. I'm using [link removed]?
GrayKnow this was an old request, but we are very enthusiastic about our elementary chess program in my district... I use the Michael Kusen book series and materials with my second- fifth graders. Here's a link: [link removed]!
Are you a gifted elementary teacher who utilizes the School wide Enrichment Model in gifted? Can you share how it works and how you feel about it? --Thanks
This year, AFS-USA is introducing the Panama (2 week) Community Service Program for 13-15 year olds. If you or someone you know might be interested in recruiting and chaperoning 6-10 participants, your trip is free. Contact Stefen Bussey at [email removed].
AFS-USA has thousands of high school foreign students in communities throughout the USA. Why not have them read to your classes for Read Across America on March 2? They can read a book from their country and also inform your students about going and hosting an AFSer in the future. To find those AFSers near you call 1-800-876-2377. Former AFSers tell us that it was because of hearing a speaker in elementary or middle school that they were inspired to go as a foreign exchange student.

I serve as a volunteer for the Miss Tennky Area AFS Volunteer Leadership Team and am a retired professional counselor, plus our family has hosted 10 AFSers in the past.

Does anyone know of a school that has a debate team in Northern Calif. or Nevada? I'm not familiar with debate action, and I'd like to have my GATE kids see a debate in action.
socaliforniamagistraHi! Great idea! The term for debate is forensics. Check out this website: [link removed]!
